I'm trying to sleep. I can't sleep. I should sleep but I'm tired. I've been looking for a theme song for Den (or, at the very least, a song he could/would sing) but I'm not good at that. OTL So, instead, I'm stealing a quiz that =
Kuriru did to pass the time. Read if you want - it might be entertaining.
Write out the names of your characters and explain:
1.) How you thought of their name.
2.) What made you create the character in the first place.
3.) How the character has changed over time (If they have changed).
4.) Any random fun fact about that character.
I'm just going to whip out characters as I think of them. Beware, I have a lot.
Crescent SunRhyanna OaklenGot her name from a Dungeon & Dragons guide book, she's actually my first OC, ever, and was created during an attempt to play Dungeon & Dragons. (We never got past character creation.) She's gone from a horribly-written druid-like Mary Sue-ish creature to the relunctant tag-along on a mage's quest to save the world. Also the main character and I don't give her nearly enough attention.
Kaylan NazaldSpeaking of that mage, we see Kaylan Nazald. Her name was also taken out of the Dungeon & Dragons book, but this was after I started writing Crescent Sun (their story, which has been restarted a bazillion times) and I needed a name for the character. ~
nobodieslove actually came up with the idea for her, I just expanded it. She's hasn't really changed much since then. >:
Boetyrious and Tumreoldier XoertiferFreakin' mouth full, isn't it? Anyways, their names (Boe and Tum) are based off of 'bottom,' and I just stuck the last name on there. They're twin brothers in Crescent Sun and, though they were originally supposed to be gnomes (as I said, I've restarted the book a bazillion times) I'm not so sure anymore. Boe is the older twin and terrified of mice while Tum is the younger one can play the flute. (And they're colours are orange and blue respectively. >.> )
TransformersRiotWas originally going to be 'Livewire' but I saw a few other OCs with that name and wanted to be original. She was created for two reasons. One, as an extra RP character while I worked out Fizz's and Surgehound's basic backgrounds. Two, because she's based off a character from one of my books that I wanted to work on, but couldn't write the book.
SmudgeI was inspired by the smudge tool in Photoshop, to be honest, for his name. He was really just supposed to be a background character of no importance to kill off. ;A; Didn't work out so well. He's the only member of Group 6 who isn't based off someone else, but who has someone based off of him.
FizzBecause pop makes a fizzing sound when you open it, and she transforms into a pop machine at first. OTL She was actually created as a role play character as well, obviously for a specific 'verse (because I knew nothing of the others.) She was supposed to be kind and caring, an Autobot and overprotective. Look how well that turned out, eh? xD But it was her super-long introduction that inspired the rest of my fanfic, though I'm always worried that she borders dangerously close along the lines of "OMG she's a Mary Sue how annoying." Not even a good one, either. /:
SurgehoundHis name was originally 'Headstrong,' however there was another - canon - character with that name. ~
shaymayca1 was the one who came up with the name. He is
exactly the same as when I created him. Exactly. Freakin'. The same. And I love him. Very much.
Moderately Well LitKlaire MaysModerately Well Lit is based off of a character I used to RP with on Neopets, Klaire. There was no special reason behind her name, I just liked it. She was originally bubbly, friendly and could control plants. Now she's sarcastic, pessimistic and can mimic other abilities; a total 180 there. She is also - at the moment - the youngest character in the novel.
James "Sir" HerriotI think I based his name off of an author of a book I saw in grandmother's house... Except the 'Sir' part, that is. He was originally created as the leader of a military organization in the future, very military, very epic, who constantly thwarted the bad guys' plans. Then I realized it was a lot like G.I. Joe and trashed the story, but kept some of the characters. Now Sir is the leader of the main protagonist group in MWL.
Trevor ConstantineHe's from the same story as Sir, really, and was (and still is) the main antagonist. Though his name changed (I originally used Constantine for another character, who died with the story), he's still the same megalomaniac villain that I love. He prefers dogs over cats, so don't expect to see him stroking a white puffball on his lap.
Cole DemidovSee Smudge. I'm a lot meaner to this guy, though, and I haven't killed him yet.
iAntiZabyx LRAll the letters on the buttons of a Gamecube controller (and probably other ones.) She was my first character on iAnti. Not much to say on her because I never really thought her character out well. She was from Spa'ring and used a rapier that could shoot beams. It was a cool sword.
DenI just randomly decided to use that word for his name, there is no rhyme nor reason behind it. After I got bored with Zabyx, I wanted to try something different; I barely RPed with guy characters, so I gave it a shot. I like to abuse him, but I don't torture him. Except with evil, OoC conversations and fantasy stuff. >:3
ErialI had that name stuck in my head for a while, but couldn't think of a character to put with it. Then, I decided that, in ERA 19, I wanted to make an android-dud character, so I stuck her with the name. She was originally going to be a huge tech-geek, but instead I made her RL a young actress who never played an RPG in her life. She can only cast lightning-based spells. (I like electricity.)
Okay, I'm actually getting kind of tired now. Going to give this sleep thing another shot. Goodnight.
